Shift patterns

Each pattern page explains how the rotation works, with a full-cycle diagram, pros and cons, and answers to common questions. And each one has the calendar built in.

Put it on your home screen

Install the calendar like an app: it opens full screen with one tap, and your saved schedules work even with no signal, in a basement break room or on a night shift with bad reception. No app store, no account, nothing to pay.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open this page in Safari.
  2. Tap Share (the square with an up arrow). On iOS 26, tap the ⋯ button next to the address bar first, then Share.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.

Android

  1. Open this page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

How it works

Rotating schedules repeat on a fixed cycle. A DuPont crew, for example, repeats every 28 days. Once you tell the calendar one date you know, it lines the cycle up with the real calendar and works out every shift, years forward and back. US federal holidays are calculated for every year automatically.

Night shifts

A shift belongs to the day it starts. "Monday night" starts Monday evening and ends Tuesday morning, so it shows on Monday. A night shift that ends on a holiday morning is listed separately from holidays you actually work.

Your data stays with you

Everything is worked out in your browser and saved only on your device. There's no account, and your schedule isn't sent anywhere unless you share a link yourself.

This calendar is for personal planning. Always confirm your official schedule with your employer.
